Developed by TEIJIN CORDLEY LIMITED of the Teijin Group, this Artificial leather is both strong and lightweight, compensating for the shortcomings of natural leather while adding features that natural leather cannot offer. It has high durability, water resistance, and scratch resistance, and is more resistant to rain and scratches than natural leather. It is also scratch resistant even when scratched by sharp objects and does not wrinkle easily when folded. It is manufactured by impregnating special polyurethane into a non-woven fabric made from a combination of Ecopet, a hollow polyester fiber made from recycled plastic bottles. It is also certified under the Teijin Group’s “Earth Symphony” brand of environmentally friendly design. Another major feature of this product is that it is approximately 20% lighter than conventional man-made leather by blending fibers with an extremely high air content ratio and the environmentally friendly material ECOPET®.

The material is made by using medium cowhide from 6 months to 2 years old as the base material and thermo-compression bonding ultra-thin carbon pattern film to the surface. While having the firmness and suppleness similar to genuine cowhide, the carbon film on the surface has improved abrasion resistance, light resistance, and heat resistance. The twill weave carbon pattern is used to create a three-dimensional appearance that is enhanced by reflections of light.

The base fabric is coated with a layer of polyurethane resin. It is characterized by its soft and elastic texture. Although it is less breathable than genuine leather, its elasticity, flexibility, and beautifully glossy surface are highly water-repellent, making it easy to care for and can be used in sudden rain.

This nylon canvas has the texture of natural fiber while being a functional material that is resistant to friction using high-strength, specially processed yarn. The random shading of the threads is also a feature.

This polyurethane material is made using a new environmentally friendly process that reduces harmful solvents by 95%. It has a rubber-like feel, is scratch-resistant, waterproof, and resistant to hydrolysis. The 600d polyester backing fabric is also used to increase tear strength.

Woven in a three-dimensional structure, the Italian mesh fabric is thick, strong and elastic, and has a crisp texture. The polyester material does not absorb water, dries quickly even when wet, and retains its shape so it does not wrinkle easily and requires little care.

It is a natural material made from horse skin. Because horses are athletic and have relatively little excess fat, the leather is light, thin, and soft. Although the leather is thin, it is strong, shiny, and supple, and the more it is used, the more it develops its own unique flavor.

The outermost part of the cow’s skin is called “true leather,” from which the thinnest skin is removed. Full vegetable tannin leather tanned by a long-established tannery in Tuscany, Italy. The leather is tanned by a traditional method using natural materials such as mimosa, quebracho, and beef tallow, and is characterized by its transparency and Italian coloring. The high oil content allows the leather to pull up and age well as it is used. The leather is finished with a fruity aroma by adding a special essence during the processing.

The natural material is made from cowhide, the outermost part of which is called “true leather” from which the thin skin is removed, and some pores are visible to the naked eye. Adria leather, a shrink leather produced by Mastrotto, a long-established Italian tannery, is highly durable and scratch-resistant due to the shrink process. In addition, the stamping process gives it an elegant luster and soft texture.
